Out of eight finalists jostling for 2014’s coveted title ‘Motor Yachts -ranging from 29 to 45 feet’, three got nominated and the jury announced its final decision; leading the way for the La Rochelle shipyard ‘Fountaine Pajot’s Motor Yachts range, the Summerland 40 LC topped the ‘Liveable Boats’ category at the prestigious 2014 Moteur Boat Awards. In the world of catamarans, the Summerland 40 LC out performs the rest with the spaciousness of the boat’s interior, its stability and its navigational performance, especially in choppy conditions. The three stunning double cabins were a unanimous hit, with an owner’s cabin located on the starboard hull boasting a “sea view”. The sleek, contemporary interior design was also much appreciated. Its moderate energy consumption, autonomy and 40% less fuel consumption compared to mono-hulls tipped the scales in its favour.
